Fact of the Week

Fact of the Week: Who Was the First Female Actor? Margaret Hughes may have been the first professional actress in England. The occasion of her first performance was on 8 December 1660, in a production of Shakespeare's play Othello, when she played the role of Desdemona in a production by Thomas Killigrew's new King's Company at their Vere Street theatre. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Margaret_Hughes

Punkin' Carvin'!!!!

Punkin' carvin' at the Morley house! Dwindling down to mom and the youngest! Tim is growing so fast, and losing interest in all of this "stupid" stuff! So here are Topher and I bringing down the house!

I figured if Topher can do the goofball, so should I!

I figured I was a genius by shining the flashlight on his face to so I could see it and STILL get a darkness shot of the pumpkin!!!

Terry carved Tim's and I scooped it out (yeah, mom ALWAYS gets the good part). He still insisted on getting a pumpkin though. Go figure.

I will never outgrow carving the pumpkin. After we were through, I gathered all of the seeds and roasted them. Made the whole house smell wonderful! Can't wait for the weekend!!!

Last Camping Trip of the Year - Little Sahara 2010

Oh boy! Mother Nature gave a us a repreave and let us have one more great weekend at the Dunes this year! We are all crunchy (i.e. sunburned). Little wind, great temperatures, no crowd, and no injuries!!! Here is Topher in his riding outfit. Thanks, Gina!!!
Check out this riding outfit! I LOVE the shorts!!!!
Check out Bryce man. He is looking at me like, "Dude, Lisa is taking a thousand pics of me, I need to have you do it too?????"
We had fun doing it though!!!!
Cash was all boy! He loved playing in the dirt. He liked to eat it too!
Gentry had a great time too. She is quite the little talker! What a cutie pie!
Of course, we had to bury somebody! We spared him the humiliation of giving him "body parts" this time!
Here is Brendon up on the hill making those dunes his!!!!!
Look at that sunset! Look at the tranquility! It was an AWESOME weekend! One of the best!
The Casper's brought their palm tree. I told them they have to bring it from now on. Margaritaville in the desert!!!!
Terry showing me his usual sentiments when I want to take his picture!
I like Tyson's sign language better!!!
Look at my cute Lulu!!!
Papa C!!!!!
Dave, you're a dork!!!!
Bren with his momma......I mean Bren with a lobster!
Okay, so this looks like a pic of the stars! I wish! It was actually the ash coming off of the fire because these guys HAVE to burn everything is sight!
It was a great ending to the season! Makes me sad to see it come! I can't wait to start over again in March! Farewell Dunes, until Spring!

The Witches at Gardner Village - 2010

Its that time of year again, the Witches at Gardner Village. If you have never been, you should go! They have everything decorated so cute, and it is fun for the whole family. The ladies in my family usually go and take the kids. Here is Topher getting his ham on!
Here is Tim hating me for taking his picture already!
Here are Topher and Rachelle going blind for my shot! Nice shadow, eh!
Tim wasn't in the mood for his picture to be taken (I asked him why he came then because this is like the ULTIMATE in picture venue!) so I told them they could make as many faces as they wanted to. That's all it took!
Boston loved this witch on the bike, but he was afraid to stand by it to get his picture taken. So mom came to the rescue!
Grandma and my mom bought all of the kids a toy. Notice Topher has his on his shoulder. Now we have a flying screaming cow to add to the flying screaming monkey and the flying screaming chicken. Want to come to my house????
I love Topher's faces!
This picture is so funny, I told them to say "cheese", so Topher is saying cheese and looking at me. Boston is saying cheese too, but picking his lip and looking the other way.
Then we got him hamming it up!
Then on to face painting! This was Boston's idea, but he was too shy to get his done. He liked to watch though!
I always forget to get in the picture, so Topher and I posed in front of the baseball witches!
Boston went running for the witch in the boat. Tim had to hold him tight so he didn't go for a swim!

It was fun, but boy was it tiring! 7 women running after 10 kids at Gardner Village while trying to push 3 strollers, and trying to dodge lots of other women doing the same thing. Who needs Zumba!!!!

5th Grade Field Trip 2010 - Hogle Zoo

One of the high points of my life is to go to school and embarrass my children! No, seriously, I am very lucky that I have a flexible schedule so I can go on field trips with my kids and enjoy their youth! 5th grade used to go to The Aerospace Museaum in Clearfield, but because of budget cuts (always budget cuts, I wonder if the superintendant of schools can take HIS grandkids to the Clearfield Museaum on his enormous pay!) we are going to Hogle Zoo. Not that the zoo is bad, but the big kindergarten field trip is to the zoo. Well, what do you do?
Here is Tim getting a head start on his assignment.
Here are Matt and Erick, the other boys in our group.
Of course, this is their first photo! Then the wildlife! I got some pretty good pics!

My favorite quote..."Here are a bunch of monkeys posing with a gorilla!"
Yeah, so I had to have a pic with the gorilla too. Should I put him on my side bar "Pictures with my peeps"?
Oh look, Terry!
Oh look, me!

This little orangutan was playing hide and seek. It was so cute! It was hard to catch him lifting up the burlap!
Check out this camel. I think he is related to Gizmo!
Gosh its hard to be a camel!

Hard to be a kangaroo too!

Do boys EVER take normal pictures?

Baby Zuri! I took two pics because you can't tell how little she is in this one.
So here she is with her mama.

Dorks!

This was pretty funny
BOOYAH!
Under the waterfall.
This is one of those HUGE bird spiders. I should have put Tim's hand in the pic to give it some scale.
Sleeping bat
Sleeping bat condo
More bats in a different "cave"

What energy those kids have! I wish I could bottle it up and sell it! We had a really good time. I had a great group of kids. Thanks for inviting me to come along, Tim.
