Fact of the Week

Fact of the Week: Who Was the First Female Actor? Margaret Hughes may have been the first professional actress in England. The occasion of her first performance was on 8 December 1660, in a production of Shakespeare's play Othello, when she played the role of Desdemona in a production by Thomas Killigrew's new King's Company at their Vere Street theatre. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Margaret_Hughes

Sick Day (or Month) Lilies 2019

I got REALLY sick this year, I mean REALLY sick. It took me FOUR PLUS weeks to finally get rid of this plague from hell. I missed the superbowl parties, and I was sick for my birthday. No surprise there, I have probably been sick for at least half of my birthdays in my life. Tim was such a sweetie, he bought me lilies because they are my favorite. Let me tell you they BLOOMED as much as I was sick and that was A LOT!! Here is the progression.....

They lasted quite awhile too, again as long as I was sick. They knew I needed them :) Thanks Tim!!

Chris D'Elia with Jimmy and Caity January 2019

We went downtown to Wise Guys to see Chris D'Elia with Jimmy and Caity. Terry booked he and I a room at the Little America for the weekend. We started out in style by realizing that Terry forgot his C-pap. We bribed Tim and Ashley to bring it down by letting them come to dinner with us. We ate at Ruby River. It was pretty good, but my side of asparagus consisted of FOUR spears. The skinny ones too, which I prefer, but I would have liked more than just four. It was lovely to share dinner with them. Then we went to Trader Joe's! I have never been there before and it was CRAZY BUSY. Probably because it was a Friday night right after work when we arrived.
Saturday night was the big night! We met Jimmy and Caity at Wise Guys. Had some super yummy appetizers. Great comedians!
After the show, Terry and I wanted just a little light dinner because it was really late. He suggested we go to the bar in the hotel. I am so glad we did! I had French onion soup, a lovely salad, roll and a mojito. One of the best dinners of my life! We had a really good time, very restful and fun. I love doing things like this!
