Fact of the Week

Fact of the Week: Who Was the First Female Actor? Margaret Hughes may have been the first professional actress in England. The occasion of her first performance was on 8 December 1660, in a production of Shakespeare's play Othello, when she played the role of Desdemona in a production by Thomas Killigrew's new King's Company at their Vere Street theatre. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Margaret_Hughes

Introducing......Sam and Rikki!

Well, here they are at last! The Guinea pigs. The boys had picked out boy names (Sam and Ricky) but Petsmart only sales girls. So.........

Here is Tim holding Samantha. She is an Afghan long haired guinea pig. She is a snuggler!
Here is Topher holding Rikki. She is more an adventurer. I think if they escape from the cage, it will be because of her!

The boys are doing really well with their new guinea pig responsibilities! They are very attentive. The first thing they do when they wake up is make sure their "girls" are okay. I hope it lasts!

Merry Christmas everyone! I hope everyone had a fun and SAFE day. What a snow storm, eh! (I have to say eh because I feel like I am in Canada now!)
Look, I got Terry to smile!
Santa brought lots of stuff in the stockings. Topher got enough money to buy his guinea pig! (Yes, I said guinea pig)

Look, I got Tim to smile too! Tim got enough money for his guinea pig (yeah, he's getting one too. I guess mom has inherited two new pets!) Santa brought something called "Flarp" which is basically fart in a jar. It doesn't take a lot to entertain the Morleys. The kids and Terry must have made fart sounds for three hours!

Here I am with my boys. This will be the last Christmas with all of them as my "little boys". Alex will turn 18 in April and be an official adult. His band is embarking on a European tour this summer. I am so scared and so excited for him! Merry Christmas everyone!

Christmas Dogs

Here are my cute Christmas dogs, all groomed up and pretty. Gizmo looks like he's been smoking weed. I wonder what those groomers give dogs to calm them down.......

Christmas Tree Tagged!

YEAH! Mom finally got the Christmas tree out! Here are the hardworking boys setting it up.

Such concentration! This is hard work!

Finished! You can't see the lights, but they are blue

When Alex was a baby, I bought him an ornament and started a tradition. I have bought my kids an ornament for Christmas every year. Now there are 49 and they cover the entire tree. It has been fun. What is sad is next year, I will give Alex his last one because he will turn 18 and become an official adult. I can't believe it has been 18 years since this tradition started! Also, if you are reading this, you have been tagged. You have to put a picture of your Christmas tree on your blog for everyone to see!
