Fact of the Week

Fact of the Week: Who Was the First Female Actor? Margaret Hughes may have been the first professional actress in England. The occasion of her first performance was on 8 December 1660, in a production of Shakespeare's play Othello, when she played the role of Desdemona in a production by Thomas Killigrew's new King's Company at their Vere Street theatre. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Margaret_Hughes

Lava Hot Springs - Memorial Day Weekend 2018

I finally got to go back to Lava Hot Springs! I didn't get as many pictures as I wanted to, though. Here are the girls in our shirts that Andrea made for us. Each says a phrase that we repeat A LOT. Mine is "Right On!" Andrea's is "Awesome!", Lisa's is "Fabulous!" and Marie's is "Whatever!"
The spots were nice and grassy. A little snug, but we were good! We made some new friends, including the camp hosts.
Topher and I explored everywhere. We all went to the Hot Springs, Topher and I went to the pool, then, while walking home, we found a shop that was a whole bunch of "little shops" on the inside. Here is a picture of the barbershop, which was a jewelry store. An escape room was on the right, and at the back was an old time theatre. We bought coffee and went back and watched Popeye cartoons. We just missed the Clint Eastwood flick.
It was a fun trip, full of exploring. We will return for Labor Day. I am hoping Alex, Bren, Tim and Ashley can come for this one and I will take MANY more pictures!
