Fact of the Week

Fact of the Week: Who Was the First Female Actor? Margaret Hughes may have been the first professional actress in England. The occasion of her first performance was on 8 December 1660, in a production of Shakespeare's play Othello, when she played the role of Desdemona in a production by Thomas Killigrew's new King's Company at their Vere Street theatre. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Margaret_Hughes

Happy Birthday to Me - 52!

I had a good birthday this year. Low key while I am trying to heal from Lyme Disease. Here is the card Grandma Betty gave me......

Here is the card Mom gave me. They know I like purple!

My birthday was on a Friday night. Normally that would have been an AWESOME party night. Stupid Lyme! Terry bought this giant cupcake for me and we just celebrated together that night.
We had a party with the kids and the grandmas though. Here is our cake. It is for Brendon, me, Topher's new girlfriend Emily, and Lyndie.
Teri Baker at work gave me this hyacinth. It smelled SO good!

Caitlin Jorgensen gave me these clay pebbles to decorate my plants with. Do people know me, or WHAT!
Sue made this card for me. It is from her and Dad.
I liked the inside because it has a cute little envelope that had money in it.
This is my cute card from Brendon and Lyndie. It fits us PERFECTLY!

They also gave me a $25 Amazon card. I used it to buy a bra and some hairclips, and that is the day we had our first porch pirate! Amazon refunded the money thought, thank goodness. SO.... I bought all of that stuff again!

Gina gave me a light up garden gnome. EVERY garden needs a gnome!

I also bought myself some birthday flowers...

Tim, Ashley, Topher and Emily all came. Alex didn't make it, but he came over the next day and watched part of the SuperBowl with me. It was a nice weekend, I am a very lucky girl!

Post From the Past! Zach's Fiance (Dorothy's) Bridal Shower - May 1st 2021

I got to go to Dorothy's bridal shower. It was held at her parents house. I had met her parents before, but it was very brief. I got to know her mom a little better. She is SO cute, and she LOVES to cook. Look at this spread!!!

I am not sure who did the decorations, but they were just gorgeous!

These were the beginning of the presents. Dorothy and Zach are loved!

It was a really fun shower, I got to meet a bunch of nice, new people. I even won one of the games. I got a $10 gift card to Krispy Kreme! Congratulations, Zach and Dorothy!

Goodbye Gizmo!

Our good boy Gizmo has taken his path over the Rainbow Bridge. He survived a pulmonary embolism around mid February, and we thought he was getting better, but about three weeks later, it happened again. I wasn't going to be cruel and put him through that again, so we said goodbye

He was my last bit of Dusty. Now that he is gone, I feel like she is really gone too.

I am not sure how Lady is feeling about it right now. She seems a little more clingy than usual (if that is even possible)

This is the last picture I took of him. As you can see, he just looks really weary. He lost about half of his body weight. Poor buddy was just skin and bones. I hope that he and Dusty are out exploring like they used to do around the neighborhood.

Liz gave me some sympathy bracelets....

Gina gave us this card....

this poem...
..and these wind chimes with this little tag on the bottom....

Rachelle gave me this ceramic box...

It sure is lonely in the morning without my buddy to keep me company while I drink coffee. Even though he was mostly deaf and blind, he always knew when I was home and would come up to greet me. We are going to miss you buddy! Please be patient until we get there too! <3
