Fact of the Week

Fact of the Week: Who Was the First Female Actor? Margaret Hughes may have been the first professional actress in England. The occasion of her first performance was on 8 December 1660, in a production of Shakespeare's play Othello, when she played the role of Desdemona in a production by Thomas Killigrew's new King's Company at their Vere Street theatre. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Margaret_Hughes

Dolcetti Gelatto - 2023

This little place is SO cool! When you walk in, this is what you see if you look to your right.
This is on the right, but farther into the store.
This is a view of the counter in the back.
This is the view to your left as you walk in.
Here is a better view of the left wall.
These parasols were right above where you order.
A purple chandelier!
All of their tables had all of these little trinkets to look at. It could keep you busy for hours.
I wonder how long it took to accumulate all of these.

It was very fun, and they also have AWESOME gelato and baked goods!

Park City 2023

FINALLY, Park City 2023 trip is HERE! For the fist time since we have been going to the Best Western, we weren't able to get into our room early. So we went and did our Park City Roasters run at the beginning. While we were there, we decided to go next door to Park City Brewery. I am happy to say that I got my first brew sampler. I got Mexican lager (like Pacifico), Sneaker IPA, Hoppy Pale Ale, and Amber.
Here is the menu....
I am happy to say that I tried something new, but at this writing, I am STILL just not a beer girl.....

I still forgot to take a lot of pictures. One of the nights, we went to Maxwell's. It had been featured on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. I later found out it was the SLC location that was featured. I am not sure what happened, because the food was meh, but the place was falling apart and not very clean. I had ravioli. Terry's was better, he had chicken parmesan.

I did make my pilgrimage to Park City Nursery and, as always, got some good stuff!
Not sure what this one is, but it is some sort of Elephant Ear or Begonia? I hope I can keep this one alive!
This Tilandsia was in the dress shop...
This Rainbow Succulent came from Walmart. When I saw it, I thought it would be perfect for Topher. I got it for him as a thank you for house sitting and being Lady's companion for the weekend.
I don't know what kind of succulent this is, but it came from Park City Nursery hot house.
Here is another Tilandsia from the Park City Nursery Dress Shop.
This is a Living Stones from Park City Nursery.
Here is a Limestone Succulent from Park City Nursery.
This one seems to be part of the mint family, but not sure of the name. This also came from Park City Nursery.
I love this purple one! Plant Snap doesn't know what this either. Again, this is from Park City Nursery.
It was a long awaited and BADLY needed trip. I wish it didn't cost so much to go up there. I would go once a month, for SURE. Hopefully we can get up there again before ski season starts. I don't want to wait clear until next year....
