Fact of the Week

Fact of the Week: Who Was the First Female Actor? Margaret Hughes may have been the first professional actress in England. The occasion of her first performance was on 8 December 1660, in a production of Shakespeare's play Othello, when she played the role of Desdemona in a production by Thomas Killigrew's new King's Company at their Vere Street theatre. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Margaret_Hughes

Brendon and Lyndie's Wedding Celebration at Their New House - 6/12/2022

I don't know why this site posts pictures backwards! Oh well. Brendon and Lyndie were finally able to have a celebration of their marriage at their new house. Here they are opening presents.

Here is their new dog Buddy thinking he is a "lap dog"

Here are some more pictures of them opening their presents...

Here they are cutting their cake.

Terry and I bought them cake knives that have their names and marriage date

It was very nice. They have a lovely home. they made hamburgers, hot dogs, salads, baked beans and cupcakes. Unfortunately the wind was blowing SO hard, we couldn't go in their back yard they had all decorated up. I should have gotten pictures of that! I am FIRED! Congratulations (again) Brendon and Lyndie!

Park City - 23rd Anniversary and Terry's 49th Birthday

Our annual trip to Park City got a little delayed this year. I usually don't have any trouble booking for the weekend of our anniversary/May the 4th Be With You/Cinco de Mayo/Kentucky Derby/Terry's birthday, but this year, the Sunday following all of this was Mother's Day. Needless to say, all of the whirlpool rooms were taken! Sooooo we went up the next weekend. We brought our own May the 4th with us (i.e. Star Wars DVDs), but we got lucky (??) and it was Friday the 13th that weekend. We watched all of the BAD Jason slasher flicks! Here are our robes on the cute hanger they have right inside the door.
Here is our coffee station. Can't live without that!
Here is our bar/snack station. That is one thing we do when we go up there.....eat and drink WELL!
Of course we have to have the bath bomb/salts station as well. Can't have the whirlpool room and NOT bring this stuff!

This year I FINALLY made it to Park City Nursery. They had been highlighting it on the news that Thursday morning, so that is the first thing we did when we got there. Here is a Swiss Cheese plant, 3 succulent cores, and a Black Maiden Hair Fern.
This is an Angel Wing Begonia
Here is a Laceleaf with purple flowers, some Tillandsia, and a bromeliad.
I thought they looked really nice by the side of the hot tub. Made it a tropical getaway.
As always, it was a fun trip that went WAY too fast. I wish I had a hot tub in my living room like this, then I wouldn't have to spend money on a hotel!
