Fact of the Week

Fact of the Week: Who Was the First Female Actor? Margaret Hughes may have been the first professional actress in England. The occasion of her first performance was on 8 December 1660, in a production of Shakespeare's play Othello, when she played the role of Desdemona in a production by Thomas Killigrew's new King's Company at their Vere Street theatre. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Margaret_Hughes

Grandma Turns 90! (August 2020)

Happy 90th Birthday, Grandma!! What a milestone! Here she is, pretty as a princess on her special day! It might be hard to see, but she has a pink, sparkly crown on that has "90" spelled out in "jewels". I bought the crown and the sash, she picked out the outfit. Neither of us knew this before hand. She matched PERFECTLY! We must be related or something!
Here is her cake. It looked SO good, I wish I could have had some!
Here are pictures of the fam: Calli, Coop, Rachelle and Chase, Trey, Ryan, Raylor,
Jason on the end in the back and Xander up front.
Ashley, Grandpa, Tim, Toph, and Terry. I didn't get any of Mom, Alex, Brendon, Lyndie, Natalie, Kenyon, Jordan, or Becca. I wonder how they were able to escape the evil clutches of my camera! Peyton was moving into his new college dorm and couldn't be there. Dexter was out of town, and Morgan was in a friend's wedding that day. Natalie and Kenyon were doing cake deliveries, but made it there later.
We were hoping people would drive up, honk, waved and wish her a happy birthday. My mom asked the bishop and the relief society president to get the word out. Either they didn't do it, or people didn't care because NO ONE drove by. I was so sad. A couple of her neighbors came by to wish her a happy birthday, thank goodness for them!

Here is the beginning of our spread. I didn't get any more pictures because I was helping with other things.
What counts is that it was a success to her. Mom said that later that night she was thrilled and got teary eyed and said that she had the best family ever! Happy Birthday, Grandma!
