Quote of the Week

An ideal wife is any woman who has an ideal husband. -Booth Tarkington

Fact of the Week

Fact of the Week: How long do astronauts stay in quarantine? Apollo 11, 12, and 14 Astronauts from these missions were quarantined for 21 days after returning from the moon, beginning when the lunar lander's hatch closed on July 21, 1969. The quarantine was a precaution in case the astronauts had been exposed to dangerous lunar microorganisms.

Grandpa Clyde's Funeral January 22, 2021

The day I have been dreading for over 45 years finally came. You passed away January 15, 2021. I am so happy you are free from the mute that your brain placed upon you, but I am going to miss you SO much! I hope you are having a joyous reunion with family that has gone before you. I hope you get to spend time with your dad, who you haven't seen in 82 years. We sure are missing you here!

Carrying your coffin are: (my side) Brendon, Dexter, and Terry (standing in for Tim and Topher who couldn't make it down to Price). On the far side is Jason (filling in for Alex who also couldn't make it), Kenyon, and Peyton. Behind are Trey, Xander, and Raylor.

Honor Guard
This is the mortuary coordinator. I didn't catch his name.

Beautiful color for your coffin...
Mom and Grandma sitting among other relatives.....
I got to take these beautiful flowers home.
Rebecca made this one for you.
Here are pictures that are going to go on top of you coffin.

More pictures of the Honor Guard.
Here is are your flowers on top of your coffin.
I set Alex, Tim and Topher's pallbearer boutonnieres on there too.

Took a family photo of the ones who could make it. Lyndie, Brendon, me and Terry

They made us leave to be able to bury you. Terry and I stayed in town because we didn't want to drive home after a long day. The next morning, I took these pictures of your finished resting place.

The United States government sent Grandma this thank you and condolence for your service in WWII

I sure miss you. As I write this, there was a thought I had (I won't say what it was, its not important) and the next thing I thought was that I couldn't wait to tell you. In the same instant, I realized you are gone and I won't be able to tell you. I will have to tell you in my dreams, I guess. Rest In Peace, Grandpa. Things will never be the same.....
