Quote of the Week

An ideal wife is any woman who has an ideal husband. -Booth Tarkington

Fact of the Week

Fact of the Week: How long do astronauts stay in quarantine? Apollo 11, 12, and 14 Astronauts from these missions were quarantined for 21 days after returning from the moon, beginning when the lunar lander's hatch closed on July 21, 1969. The quarantine was a precaution in case the astronauts had been exposed to dangerous lunar microorganisms.

Trans-Siberian Orchestra - December 2024

I went to see the Trans-Siberian Orchestra with friends from work. This was a big deal for me because I haven't felt well enough to do extra-curicular activities. I still had to make myself go but it was a little easier. The first of the show was a musical story.
The owner, Jared Searcy bought us floor seats really close to the stage, so we got a really good look at everything.
Some of my pictures are zoomed in, but some are real life from my seat.
Here was the first guitar player. I feel bad because he was really good, but the reception from the audience was pretty cold. I think it was too early in the day, the audience was still in "work mode".

The light show was fantastic. They do know how to put on a rock and roll show, for sure!

This was behind us. It was hard to see because we were so close to it. This was more a light show for those with nosebleed seats.

More from the front stage...

After the story, they did more of a laser light show.

Then they put the musicians on "cranes" to lift them out over the audience.

Then came the fire! It was REALLY hot!

Hanging "candles"
More fire from behind. That was even hotter!

Then the fire erupted on the stairs. SO hot and HAWT!

More cool gadgets
Different musicians on the lifts

Finally, here is a picture of the lights outside. I would've taken more, but I had my hands full with my dinner and 3 sacks of the candied almonds.
Here is a picture of my seat designation
It was a fun time. The seat itself was just a folding chair, so EXTREMELY uncomfortable, but other than that. I had a good time!

Razel Got Her Wings - Dakota Fontaine's Concert October 2024

We made it to one of Dakota's concerts. He is the lead screamer for Razel Got Her Wings. It was in a lot behind a tattoo parlor. Here is some artwork on the back of the building.
Even though it was October, it was a really nice night.

These picks are of the opening bands. I wish I knew what their names were. They didn't really announce themselves first.

It was a nice night. It was Tim, me, and his friend Alan.

My Mushroom Farm - October 2024

I had gone to get the mail, and I walked back where the tree used to be and there must have been about 200 mushrooms!

Too bad we can't eat them!

Bren Turns 30, and Toph Turns 21!

Once in a lifetime! Two of my kids have milestone birthdays in the same year. This will never happen again.
I attached two pictures, because they can't both smile at the same time ☺️
Here is their cake, a yellow with whipped cream frosting.

Here are some of the decorations....

Terry made the mutual favorite.... red beans and rice..

Happy Birthday, boys..... I mean men!

We Got a Pool Again!

The kids and I have been reminiscing about how much we miss our pool, so Terry bought us another one.
