Fact of the Week

Fact of the Week: How long do astronauts stay in quarantine? Apollo 11, 12, and 14 Astronauts from these missions were quarantined for 21 days after returning from the moon, beginning when the lunar lander's hatch closed on July 21, 1969. The quarantine was a precaution in case the astronauts had been exposed to dangerous lunar microorganisms.

Christmas Parties - Wave Two

Okay, so off to the Colemere Family Christmas party which should be renamed the Bev Lee Christmas party. She always is the one who organizes it and keeps us together. Thanks, Bev!
This year in honor of Grandma, we decided to have the kids do crafts instead of exchanging gifts.
We weren't sure how it would go over with the kids, but we were pleasantly surprised.
The kids LOVED it and I think the adults did too. At least I did! Let me just say I am HOOKED on making those flower clips for hair!!!
I am so happy because Alex and Brendon showed up this year. I asked for a cute photo, this is what I got. Crazy kids!!! Also, Dad wanted a big group photo. What an undertaking! We managed it though! Just check out this mugshot!!!!
Whole Fam Damily. Amazing no one is missing! It will be outdated by May though because our eagerly awaited fourth girl (Mini Coop) will be here by then!
Rachelle's family.
Ryan's family.
Jason's family.
My family! Here is our Christmas card for next year??????This was cute, brother and sis! We missed Uncle John and Kay, Angie, and Steph's new husband Dan and his daughter (sorry, I am horrible with names). Other than that, everyone was pretty much there! It was a wonderful time and I am glad that we still keep in touch. All of the kids are growing SO fast it isn't fair! Merry Christmas, Colemere's!!!!!

Christmas Parties - Wave One

First stop - Grandma Minnie's house. She was having a rough patch this time last year. She had broken her arm twice by the time Christmas rolled around. When we walked in, I was amazed at how GOOD she looked! Not that she looked bad the last time I saw her, but she just glowed this time. I was so happy! She is 93!!!!
Here is Alex opening her present. She is so cute! My little pre-med student!!!
Here is Val. Check out that smile! She was really excited about my South High hoodie. Now I know what to get her next year!
Here is Suzanne. I found out she travels for her work quite a bit and she LOVES it.....NOT!!! She is so funny!
I got all of the girls a warm blanky and fuzzy socks. They loved them. Can't go wrong with a present like that. It was great to see everyone. It is a shame that we only get over there once in a while. Life is too short!!! Merry Christmas, ladies!!!

Twelve Days of Christmas 2010 - Day One

Yes dear reader, it is that time of year again! I started this tradition about ten years ago (can't believe it has been that long already!). For the first day of Christmas mom and dad gave to me.......
An ornament for the tree! (and a fudge sampler from Sweet Afton's for Teeaaaarrrrry!)
I actually started the ornament tradition for Brendon's first Christmas. I now proudly display 18 ornaments from Alex, 17 from Brendon, 12 from Tim and 8 from Topher. Needless to say, I have no other ornaments on my tree. It looks wonderful!! This tradition starts on December 13th, so more posts to come.....

Happy Birthday, Sista!

Happy happy birthday to my sista! Who turns 29 (again)! Of course I am only 26 so this makes her my "older" sister! Awesome! I am so proud of her! She followed my example of what NOT to do and got her shiznitalkabam together from the start, with an awesome husband, a sweet little boy, a cute baby (girl!) bump, a college degree and a terrific job. What more could anyone ask???
Always the fiesty red head, I look to her when I need encouragement when dealing with people who are prone to give me $%$#. She never backs down from what she feels is right and I love that about her. But she does it with class and empathy.
My kids love their "favorite red head aunt" and we all hope you had a wonderful day! Love you!!!!

Thanksgiving 2010

Wow, another year of extraordinary food, great company, and lots to be thankful for! We started out at Terry's parents house for our first gluttonfest. Here is Peama with Bren, Tim and Topher.
Here are our happy newlyweds. It is so good to see them so happy!!!
Here is our film student extraordinaire Kody!!!
Here is Jeremy.
Here is Kasey, Paydon and Logan.
We had an unexpected visitor show up for the party. This poor pigeon must have been freezing. He flew into the garage and wouldn't leave. Can you blame him????
It took quite a while for Terry and Steve to get him to leave, but he finally did. We tried to feed him some bread, but he wouldn't take it.
Need to get a picture of me after stuffing myself!!!!
Tim, always as sunny and chipper as ever!!!
Topher, always the ham.
After that it was off to my mom's house for a second huge dinner! Here is Xander with a yummy homemade role! He is wearing my "wetter". At least that is what he called it last year. I called it that this year and he told me "NO its a SWEATER!"
Here is sweet Kennedy!
Here is Brendon holding Raylor. He was so cute with him. When Raylor would cry, he would get up and walk him. He never chickened out and gave him back to Natalie. He is going to make such a good dad!!!
Here is Ryan and Trey. Poor Trey is like Tim. He has a mom that takes WAY to many pictures and is so sick of the camera! Good thing Rachelle married a man that is as photogenic as Coop is because I have the feeling he has a LIFETIME of this!!!
Here is Jason. I got a lot of genuine smiles on this day! Gotta love turkey!!!
Here are Rachelle and I being silly!
Caught her laughing!

Didn't get as many as I wanted, but there is always Christmas! I am so thankful to have the wonderful family that I do! I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!!!!

Beginning Winter Fun - 2010

So most of you got buried in the snowstorm that happened this week. Saturday night, the boys went out in their pajamas and coats. That lasted for all of about two seconds, then they went in and actually got some pants on. Here they are making their snowman.

This is Brendon and I freezing while watching them.
So they went to all of the trouble to build this snowman......

This is as FAR as the dogs would even venture....
Finished at last......
Then they proceeded to destroy it!

Ok, fast forward to Sunday night. As many of you know, Terry is a sadistic torturer and is always coming up with challenges that defy common sense. He told the boys he would give them each $5 if they would go do a snow angel with only their boxers on. So, being the greedy capitalists that they are.....they did it! Psyching themselves out, then............
WHOA NELLIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tim flipped me off at the last minute, then wouldn't let me take his picture again. I told him I was going to post this so grandma could see it, then he would be in BIG trouble!!!!!
Snow angel number two!!!!
Well, needless to say, they earned their five bucks! I was laughing the whole time. How did you spend your weekend????
