Vacation! Little Sahara, here we come!

Ok dear blog readers, I am off to play in the sand! All of my blog features will be back Monday. I will also have some good pics to post. Pray for good weather for me! For those who are stuck here, have a nice weekend!

I'm alright!

Some of you may have noticed the somber mood of my blog recently. That is not usually who I am. A very wise person once told me,

"You are in charge of your own mood and whether or not you are going to have a good day. Even if a million things go wrong or someone is hurtful to you, you can either let it affect you, or you can choose not to let it get you down and have a good day anyway."

I think those are good words and I tell my kids that now and again. But, I have found that I need to listen to that advice myself. So, as an example to my kids, and because life is too short to be sad,

I'M ALRIGHT!!!!!!!!

Mom, Grandpa, Grandma and I took the fun bus to Elko this weekend. It is always a blast. This is what it looks like on the way down. Everyone is partying, having a good time.

We play all sorts of games for money and prizes. Here is Mom and I taking the classic self photo

We both one at Bingo. I took a pic of myself with my blow up pillow that I won. Mom won this putrid lime green towel so she started trying to take a pic of herself. She couldn't get the one she wanted so she started getting silly!

She kept taking pics hiding her face, then she would show me.

She took these pics really fast and then kept showing me. I was laughing so hard, tears were streaming down my face!

By this time we had people on the bus looking back at us trying to decide what was so funny.

So then we started passing her camera around the bus. I don't know, I guess you had to be there, but it was pretty funny. We had so much fun, I forgot to take pics when we got to the hotel. Our room was right on the atrium and everyone gathers there to party and dance. I didn't win any money, but I sure had a great time. Thanks Mom, Grandma and Grandpa!

Happy Belated Birthday, Brendon

I think people have been wondering why I posted Topher's birthday and not Brendon's. Well Brendon is getting older and he said he didn't want me to. So I didn't, but then I thought, "How is he even going to know?" Brendon is so shy, he wouldn't willingly say he wanted a blog post, so I am going to do one anyway!

You are so quiet, people sometimes don't even know you are there, but you have a funny side that most of your close friends and family know about.

You are always happy. You have the best imagination. You used to tell me stories with such detail, it would take five minutes just to let me know what the hero of your story was wearing!

You have grown so tall, I have to look up at you now when I talk to you! I can't believe you are 15! Where did the time go?

I know you hate having your picture taken, but I am glad you let me take it sometimes. You are always willing to help other people and I love that about you!

Thank you for being so unique, Brendon. I love you!

Happy Birthday, Topher!

Happy birthday to my sweet boy! I can't believe you are 6 already! It seems like yesterday I was holding you in my arms for the very first time!

I've always wanted a red haired baby, and I finally got that with you. I love your hair!

You are so super smart! You figure things out so quickly. When I have a conversation with you, I feel like I am talking to a boy much older than you really are!

I love to go on vacation with you because you enjoy everything so much. I enjoy everything more because your enthusiasm is so contagious!

You are usually very happy and you brighten my day.

But you are also cool too!

I am glad that you like to cook, like your dad! Hopefully you will be a chef someday too!

Happy birthday again, to my bestest Topher in the whole world! I hope all of your dreams come true!

I said I bought it Friday, not when it came out Lisa!!! :) It is some old school 70s music, but it is still good! Now I have offended those who did buy it when it came out!!! :o
