Sous Chef!

Topher has decided that he likes to cook too. When we took one of our jaunts to the dollar store, he found this apron and this wisk. He liked them because they were both blue. He is making noodles here, one of his favorites. Now we have two budding chefs in the family!

Brendon's Triumph

As some of you may know, Brendon has had a real struggle when it comes to academics. I have been trying to get some help for him from the school since 5th grade, and finally this year (ninth grade) someone finally took me seriously and listened. We have also added some other strategies to this (I won't go into details) and it is finally starting to help. I went to his parent/teacher conferences last night and his teachers had glowing remarks. "Nothing missing", "What a great student", this one is my favorite "The Brendon of last year and the Brendon of this year is like night and day". It was so awesome to go and meet his teachers and only spend five minutes with them, telling me how awesome he is doing, rather than spending 30 minutes with them trying to encourage him to do his work and turn it in. He is so close to a 3.0 right now he can taste it. Keep up the good work, Brendon, you'll get it!

Tim's Birthday

We celebrated Tim's ninth birthday on Saturday. He has decided he is not going to smile for pictures anymore, so it looks like he is being tortured, but I think he really had a good time!

We like to load them up on soda so that they are bouncing off the walls. Chug! Chug! Chug!

It was also my grandpa's 80th birthday. I hope if I live that long that I am as active as they are (Grandma is not far behind!) We also celebrated Coop's and Natalie's birthdays too.

Ute game

Wow, what a fun time. Terry and I were tailgate virgins. That is something we need to do more often! Our tickets were right on the front row and it was great. I've decided in my next life, I am going to go to college right out of high school and live on-campus. I forgot to take my camera so I had to steal some pictures (thanks, Andrea!). The weather was beautiful and Terry and I really had an awesome time.
